Oliver Cromwell's House has an impressive Gift Shop that stocks a wide range of souvenirs to remember your visit by. We are so very proud of 'Cromwell's Corner' stacked full of wonderful pressies for those Cromwell fans out there. Even if you aren't a fan, they are a great reminder of your visit! We are a licensed premises, therefore sell a fine selection of Cromwell Beers (and Cider)! A very popular gift around Christmas Time. Locally brewed, choose from 'Old Parliamentarian' and 'Toppled Crowm' they are all delicious and look mightly fine on our Shelves ready for you to select.
We have some delightful Cromwell 'slogan' mugs, money boxes and other fun ornaments for those hard-core fans. If you choose to take a tour of Oliver Cromwell's House, in Mrs Cromwell's Room you can have a go and writing 17th Century Style. Available in our shop are some wonderful feather quills and caligraphy sets, together with various inks. For those pocket money enthusiasts we have a full range of reasonably priced gifts like Cannnons (big and small and even pencil sharpeners!) Brisish History rulers/pencils/fridge magnets and so much more.
Lastly perched high on one of our oak pannelled shelves is an attractive range of Cromwellian items including mugs depicting the great man and some of his most famous quotes which are very popular. To complete our range, we offer two bespoke, locally brewed Cromwellian beers - "Old Parliamentarian" and "Toppled Crown" along with three varieties of Cromwell's Cider. As well as this we have a great range of book relating to the great man himself. In the Tourist Information Centre based at Oliver Cromwell's House we have an ever changing range of treats and treasures. As well as souvenirs there are many seasonal gifts available to purchase with many of them costing under £5.00. Our wonderful Tourist Information Assistants are there to help you choose that perfect momento, or gift for a friend or family, so feel free to ask. If there is something you are specifically looking for and you can't see it, always ask us, as we maybe able to still get it for you.
Our Gift shop prides itself on being unique. Not only is it part of one of the oldest houses in Ely, it's beautifully laid out with easy browsing, and choices are in abundance. You maybe looking for your heritage definistion and coat of arms ! Well we've just the thing with our fabulous display of coaster and keyrings - these are always a hit for our visitors.
As well as souvenirs we like to offer alternative gifts which change from season to season. We have a passion for supporting all things British and we strive to order as many products as possible from local, small businesses. During the year you will notice much of our stock changing. We have a Halloween theme for October where our local Ghost Books are high sellers to our Christmas Gifts which always have a traditional theme. We also have Easter specials as well as all you need to treat that special someone on Valentine's Day. There are gifts to suit every occasion. Our core gifts remain throughout the year so if you need a gift card, a tasteful toiletry set for a friend or a snazzy scarf to cheer yourself up, then pop by, we are open 7 days a week during summer (April 1st - October 31st) 10 am - 5 pm and winter (November 1st to March 31st) 11 am - 4pm.

As you know, Oliver Cromwell House doubles as the City of Ely's Tourist Information Centre and Gift Shop. We also stock a wide range of traditional and contemporary souvenirs relating to Ely and the surrounding area. One part of our shop we are so very proud of is our 'Cromwell Corner' of Souvenirs! Together with this range we also have a fine selection of gifts for all occasions.
We have a cleverly designed Eel branded range of souvenirs which celebrates when Ely was just an Island and hence derived its name from the Isle of Eels. Eels were historically part of the local staple diet as well as a valuable source of income. Jellied eels were popular until recent times and clients would come from London, such was the reputation of Ely's eels. The range even includes an Eel brew although we can assure you that no eels were harmed it the making of this local beer and even Eel Chocolate (yes, it's true and delicious!) Browse our small gifts from keyrings, to badges, postcards, greeting cards and so much more. All our gifts are seasonal too, so we theme depending on the time of year - there's something for everyone. In addition to Ely souvenirs we have an extensive range of walking and cycling routes and maps as well as a selection of local books. We also have a section of fabulous children's toys and games. so if you are out and about with youngsters, with pocket money to spend, stop off and see us!
